CRH has completed its acquisition of Arcosa, a leading U.S. provider of aggregates and critical infrastructure products. The deal carries a total enterprise value of approximately $8.5 billion, and CRH announced the close on October 23, 2026.
Four Months, Start to Finish:
June 22, 2026: CRH announced it had agreed to acquire Arcosa
October 23, 2026: CRH announced the acquisition was complete
October 29: CRH said it would release updated guidance for the full year 2026, reflecting the deal, with its third quarter results
More Rock in the Pile: CRH says the acquisition advances its “aggregates-led, connected portfolio strategy.” The company also says the deal reinforces its position as the leader in U.S. and global aggregates.
The acquisition increases CRH’s exposure to demand from major projects in four areas:
Roads
Water
Energy
Data
The CEO’s Pitch: CRH CEO Jim Mintern called Arcosa “an excellent strategic fit for CRH.” He said the deal reinforces CRH’s position as “the #1 infrastructure player in North America.”
He added that CRH looks forward to welcoming its Arcosa colleagues and “executing on the strong growth opportunities ahead.”
Rock and Transmission: Mintern pointed to two strengths in Arcosa: its “high-quality aggregates assets” and its “attractive positions in the growing U.S. energy transmission market.”
CRH said its updated guidance for the full year 2026 would reflect the deal. That makes it the place to look for how Arcosa figures into CRH’s outlook.
