The Daily Dig
Intermountain Health McKay-Dee Hospital broke ground on October 13, 2026, on a new medical building in Ogden, Utah. The facility will cover 80,000 square feet and bring specialty and primary care together for Weber County patients, with opening planned for spring 2028.
Clinic Shuffle
Several clinics now housed in the hospital’s existing medical office building will move into the new North Campus facility. Think musical chairs, except this round ends in upgraded space.
The new building will hold primary care offices along with expanded space for specialty clinics. Those include sleep medicine, diabetes, endocrinology, and pediatrics, among others.
According to the hospital, the design aims to improve patient access while also creating additional space on the main hospital campus.
Hospital leadership kept the focus on patients and families. “This project represents an important investment in the health of our growing community,” said Judy Williamson, president of Intermountain Health McKay-Dee Hospital. “By bringing more services together in a modern, convenient setting, we can make it easier for patients and families to receive high-quality care close to home.”
Campus That Keeps Growing
The new building continues McKay-Dee’s North Campus expansion. Their Endoscopy Center and Porter Family Medicine Clinic opened recently, and the Surgery Center & Sports Medicine clinic have been serving patients for years.

TheJobWalk Thoughts
The groundbreaking announcement didn’t name a contractor, project value, or delivery method, so the clearest signal is the hospital’s pattern. This building joins recent openings and established facilities on the same North Campus. A hospital that keeps investing in one campus is worth getting to know before the next groundbreaking makes the news.
The relocation angle matters too. Moving working clinics into a new building typically brings furniture, equipment, IT, and low voltage scope. On healthcare projects, owners often buy much of that directly rather than through the GC, so suppliers should find out early who’s actually holding the purchase orders.
