Thompson Thrift has started construction on The Highline, a luxury apartment community with 300 units in Nampa, Idaho. First residents are expected in early 2028, according to the company's Sept. 30 announcement.
It's the developer's second multifamily project in Nampa, about a mile from its first.
Back for Seconds:
The Logan: 264 Class A units, first residents in November 2025, construction completed in June 2026
The Highline: 300 units, first residents expected in early 2028
The Highline was announced less than four months after The Logan wrapped. Bo Chapman, senior vice president of development for Thompson Thrift Residential, called Nampa "one of the most compelling markets in the Boise metro." He cited population growth, expanding employment and regional connectivity.
Exit Strategy: The Highline sits inside East Ranch, a planned community that will combine single-family homes, flex industrial space and retail. The site is less than a mile from I-84, the Treasure Valley's main east-west route.
More House Than Hallway: Units range from one to three bedrooms and average 1,100 square feet, all with private entrances. Detached garages, patios, balconies and private yard options are on the list too.
Inside, expect quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances, washers and dryers, and smart home tech. The amenity list adds a heated pool and lap pool, a pickleball court, two dog parks and a pet spa. Yes, somebody gets to build a spa for pets.
Employer Roll Call: Major employers within reach include J.R. Simplot, St. Luke's Nampa & Saltzer and the College of Western Idaho. Across the broader metro, Micron's $50 billion expansion is expected to add about 2,000 direct jobs and 15,000 indirect jobs in Boise.
Name Game: The name nods to elevated rail lines and Idaho's wide horizon. Next up on that horizon: 300 units under distinctive gabled rooflines.
