Workforce planning platform Bridgit has launched a set of AI agents that draft staffing decisions instead of just answering questions about them. The company says it is used by 40% of top contractors, though it does not define how that figure was calculated. The launch builds on Ask Bridgit, a plain-language query tool the company introduced earlier this year.
Five agents shipped at launch. Team Builder proposes project teams using a firm's own criteria and historical workforce data, giving operations leaders a draft to review instead of a blank slate. Assignment Finder identifies suitable roles for workers with upcoming availability, aimed at keeping crews utilized instead of sitting on the bench. The remaining three agents, Project Change Digest, Project Org Chart, and Workforce Brief, handle reporting, org charts, and lookahead scheduling.
Every suggested action comes with the reasoning behind it, and nothing takes effect until a planner reviews, edits, or confirms it. Bridgit CTO Vincent Seguin said the company's standard is that an agent's recommendation must be explainable in plain language before it ships.
Bridgit also launched the Bridgit MCP, a secure connection that gives outside AI assistants, including Claude, ChatGPT, and Copilot, access to live Bridgit data. A contractor could ask one of those tools a staffing question and get an answer grounded in their own account, without switching tools or pulling a separate report. Bridgit agents are available now, with demonstrations available through the company's website.

The value of Team Builder and Assignment Finder will likely track the quality of the historical data behind them. Bridgit says recommendations draw on a firm's own project and people data and improve as that data accumulates. Firms with clean staffing records stand to get sharper drafts. That makes data hygiene worth a second look for firms that have let it slide.
The MCP connection is worth watching regardless of how it is technically packaged. Meeting planners inside tools they already use, instead of asking them to learn a new one, removes a common source of friction in software rollouts. Whether it changes adoption at scale will depend on how each integration is actually implemented.
Assignment Finder targets a real cost center. Keeping workers off the bench between assignments has a direct line to margin in a tight labor market. Bridgit has not published figures on idle time or cost reduction, so contractors evaluating the tool should treat the bench-cost case as a reasonable hypothesis, not a proven result.
