The Daily Dig:

DEWALT used World of Concrete 2026 in Las Vegas (Jan. 20–22) to debut new concrete focused tools centered on power and runtime. The main additions were two POWERSHIFT tools: a 12-inch cordless cut-off saw and a 1-1/8-inch hex demolition hammer. DEWALT positions the cut-off saw as a high output alternative to gas equipment, capable of heavy cutting without the noise or fumes of gas.

The company also expanded its 20V MAX XR lineup with a duplex nailer for forming work and a concrete chemical sprayer designed for concrete spraying applications. DEWALT is running interactive demos at the show, giving crews hands on exposure to the tools ahead of staggered releases through 2026.

TheJobWalk Thoughts:

This rollout is less about flashy marketing and more about solving real problems crews run into every day. POWERSHIFT is going after the heavy concrete work where gas tools have always been the go-to, while the 20V tools tackle the repetitive stuff like forms and spraying. DEWALT isn't asking anyone to reinvent how they work. The pitch here is straightforward: fewer headaches, less time wrenching on equipment, and tools that actually fit into the way concrete crews already operate.
