Callan JMB Inc. (NASDAQ: CJMB) expects to break ground before the end of October on a $16 million IV bag manufacturing and distribution facility in Marion, Alabama. A third party will fully fund the project through a non-dilutive, non-interest-bearing partnership.

The Spring Branch, Texas, company shared the timeline on Oct. 22, after recently announcing formal approval of the facility’s blueprints.

Someone Else’s Dime: For Callan JMB, the deal means no added debt and no dilution for shareholders. CEO Wayne Williams said the investment “will not add debt” to the company’s balance sheet.

The release doesn’t name the funding partner or say what that partner gets in return.

Big Bets on Small Bags: Once the facility is complete and fully operational, Callan JMB projects $450 million in annual revenue:

  • $300 million from standard IV bags

  • $150 million from premixed drug IV bags

That’s a company forecast, and the release doesn’t say when the plant would reach it.

Inside the Fence Line: The facility will sit within the Marion 9 Biomanufacturing Center at the Atlas Complex. It ties into Callan JMB’s previously announced pharmaceutical manufacturing initiative with Alabama State University.

According to the company, the design pairs automated production with quality control and advanced distribution. Williams linked the project to domestic drug production, supply chain resilience, and national security through medical preparedness.

Blanks on the Plan Set: For anyone in the trades, a few key details are missing. The release doesn’t name a general contractor, give a square footage, or set a completion date.

The design is approved and the funding is promised. Next comes the part this crowd knows best: turning blueprints into a building.

Just a quick one..
