The Daily Dig
EquipmentShare broke ground on October 8, 2026, on a 70,000 square foot expansion of their corporate headquarters in Columbia, Missouri. The new building will be the third on their campus at 5710 Bull Run Drive.
Desk Rental
The building spans two stories and will provide space for up to 300 team members. Plans include an executive business center, multipurpose meeting and event spaces, and a full-service corporate cafeteria.
The extra room is tied to a commitment EquipmentShare had already made to bring 500 new jobs to the region.
The design is built to accommodate photovoltaic solar panels and EV charging. That wording matters, because the release stops short of saying either one will be installed when the building opens.
“Columbia has been our home from the very beginning, and breaking ground on this third building underscores our deep commitment to growing right here in Mid-Missouri,” said CEO and founder Jabbok Schlacks.
Home Field Builder
Coil Construction is supporting the project through their design-build process. “We’re honored through our Design-Build process to support another growing business that is making such a meaningful impact here and across the industry,” said company President David Coil.
Completion is expected in the middle of 2028, with a formal grand opening to follow.
Once the building is finished, the campus will total 170,000 square feet across three buildings. It sits near the company’s original rental branch and their central distribution center.

TheJobWalk Thoughts
Design-build usually makes the design-builder the main door for trade work, though the release doesn’t say how Coil will buy out this job. Finish trades are typically procured after site and structure work, and completion isn’t expected until the middle of 2028. Subs have time, but an early relationship with Coil can’t hurt.
A full-service cafeteria often calls for commercial kitchen equipment with longer lead times, so foodservice suppliers should treat this as a lead worth chasing. On energy, the building is designed to accommodate solar and EV charging without any confirmed install. Electrical contractors should ask what readiness work is in scope.
