The Daily Dig
Fidelity Building Services Group has acquired MVH Industrial, a Georgetown, Kentucky-based mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and general contracting firm. The deal extends Fidelity's reach into the south-central U.S. and adds a contractor with an established reputation for complex work in industrial and manufacturing environments.
MVH Industrial's service lineup goes well beyond standard MEP. The company handles HVAC and mechanical system design and installation, industrial piping, plumbing, electrical systems, building automation, and custom sheet metal fabrication. Medium voltage electrical capabilities and sole-source turn-key project execution round out the offer.
The turn-key work is where MVH stands out. The firm specializes in complex projects spanning manufacturing environments, facility relocations, system retrofits, and operational upgrades. Paint booth and furnace installations and industrial machinery upgrades are also in the mix. MVH serves both commercial and industrial clients.
Fidelity CEO Dave Lanphar cited MVH's technical depth, its track record on complex projects in critical end markets, and its established customer relationships as the basis for the deal.
MVH President David Walden said the partnership brings Fidelity's national resources and reach to his team, creating new opportunities for MVH employees while the company continues to grow and serve existing clients.
Fidelity is headquartered in Hunt Valley, Maryland. It provides HVAC and mechanical services, building automation, emergency power, and energy solutions across commercial, industrial, mission critical, government, education, and healthcare markets.
The MVH acquisition is the latest step in a nationwide expansion strategy centered on partnering with technically strong firms in new geographic markets.

TheJobWalk Thoughts
Georgetown, Kentucky sits inside one of the country's densest automotive manufacturing corridors. Toyota's largest North American assembly plant is there. A contractor with proven sole-source turn-key capability in that market is not a routine pickup.
The sole-source model MVH has built is worth paying attention to. Industrial owners managing complex facility upgrades want a single contractor accountable for the full scope. For MEP subs and suppliers in manufacturing-heavy markets, that changes how you price, how you staff, and how you sell.
