ThisWay Global has begun remobilizing a stalled digital infrastructure project at the Texas A&M-RELLIS campus in Bryan, Texas. The company acquired the project’s assets through a court-approved bankruptcy process that closed September 30.

The Austin company announced the Research and AI Compute Center (RACC) on October 8. The plan calls for 73 MW of capacity on a 25-acre site, built in phases and subject to approvals.

Plumbing the Plans: The current design calls for closed loop, direct-to-chip liquid cooling. Final cooling setup and water requirements will be settled through engineering and approvals.

Strings Attached:

  • Final engineering and approvals

  • Utility arrangements

  • Financing and procurement

  • Customer requirements

Utility and interconnection arrangements also appear in the company’s list of risks.

Who Gets the Keys: RACC is meant for eligible research, public sector and industry users. Access is subject to contracting, procurement, security and access requirements.

Founder and Executive Chairman Angela Hood said the company intends to move forward “in collaboration with A&M-RELLIS leadership, local stakeholders and qualified partners.”

Bid Board, Still Blank: The announcement doesn’t name a schedule, contractor or budget. The site has a new owner and a 73 MW plan. Until the approvals and utility arrangements land, nobody’s ordering rebar off a press release.

Just a quick one..
