GreenArrow just bought MSL Electric, a full-service electrical contractor based in Anaheim, expanding its reach across four Southern California counties.

The deal folds MSL's construction muscle into GreenArrow's existing maintenance operations. GreenArrow says the combination makes it one of the region's most comprehensive transportation electrical providers.

Who's MSL, anyway? Founded in 2002 by Warren and Sally Moore, MSL Electric is a union contractor that's built its name on public works projects across Orange, Los Angeles, San Bernardino, and Riverside counties. Their specialty list reads like a greatest hits of transportation infrastructure:

  • Traffic signals

  • Intelligent transportation systems (ITS)

  • Street and highway lighting

  • Fiber optic networks

  • Airport electrical systems

Building the full pipeline: GreenArrow CEO Lloyd Kuehn framed the deal as closing a gap. Pairing MSL's construction crews with GreenArrow's maintenance side gives the company what he called a seamless, end-to-end lifecycle solution. In plain terms: one contractor can now build your signal system, then stick around to keep it running.

MSL Co-Founder Warren Moore echoed that logic. He said the partnership lets his team take on bigger, more complex infrastructure work while continuing to serve the same local agencies they've always worked with.

GreenArrow isn't done shopping, either. The company says it's actively pursuing more acquisitions with like-minded electrical services firms.

For union electrical contractors sizing up their next move, GreenArrow just made its playbook pretty clear.
