JE Dunn Construction is standing up a dedicated power generation division inside its advanced technology group. The firm is promoting from within to lead it.

The Kansas City, Missouri based builder named Ryan Wilson vice president and market lead for the new unit. Wilson joined JE Dunn in 2018 as a project engineer.

He previously served as senior project manager, focused on power, industrial and manufacturing projects.

The Job Description

Wilson will work with clients, industry partners and internal teams. His job: build out delivery strategies and identify market opportunities in the power space.

JE Dunn isn't walking into this cold. The firm has completed 220-plus power projects across every generation type. This looks less like a new venture and more like a formal structure for something already working.

Why Now

JE Dunn points to three forces driving demand:

  • AI infrastructure buildout, since data centers eat electricity for breakfast

  • Manufacturing onshoring picking up steam

  • Aging power infrastructure that needs replacing no matter what else is driving demand

Everybody needs more power, and somebody has to build the plants generating it.

Wilson already has the resume for this exact lane. Now he has the title to match.
