Orion Group Holdings (NYSE: ORN) announced $250 million in new contract awards and change orders for October 2026. A $115 million project led the month, and it’s the largest award in the history of Orion’s Concrete segment.
That one job makes up 46% of the October total. That’s a lot of mud on a single ticket.
The $250 million includes change orders, so not every dollar comes from a new contract.
History, Poured in Place: Orion signed the $115 million project on Oct. 29, the same day it announced the October total. CEO Travis Boone said the mission-critical job covers foundations, slabs and site paving for multiple buildings.
“Fourth-quarter awards are off to a strong start,” Boone said.
Four Regions, One Busy Mixer: Concrete made up the majority of new award value through Oct. 29. Orion’s other October concrete awards spanned four regions and a broad range of end markets, including:
Two large mission-critical projects
Site-civil work for a premier technology company
A cold storage facility
A hospital
Multiple commercial buildings
Orion had already outlined those projects on its third-quarter earnings call. The $115 million contract is the standout new announcement on the concrete side.
Down at the Docks: Orion’s Marine segment also picked up October work. That includes a project for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and a shore power project for a major port client in the Pacific Northwest.
Ledger Watch: Orion expects to book the new projects into backlog during the fourth quarter of 2026. Watch the Q4 backlog number to see October’s haul land.
