The Connell Company hosted a topping out ceremony on October 28 for RT600, an apartment tower at The Park in Berkeley Heights, New Jersey. The building stands eight stories, will hold 149 units and is slated to open in Fall 2027.

It’s the second of two luxury towers on the campus. The first, RT500, is already welcoming residents, so one tower has tenants while its sibling is still under construction.

Who’s Holding the Clipboard

  • SOCO Construction is managing RT600 and the north side of District Drive, including RT500 and the surrounding retail

  • GS Ferguson is serving as the Owner’s Representative

  • Minno & Wasko Architects and Planners designed the tower in collaboration with David M. Sullivan Inc.

Connell’s John Dionis said a building of this scale “takes an incredible amount of coordination and craftsmanship.”

Ping Pong Included

Units will feature floor to ceiling windows, quartz countertops and wood plank flooring. Shared amenities will include:

  • A fitness center

  • A game room with a pool table

  • Lounge seating and co-working amenities

  • An outdoor deck with grills, a pool and a ping pong table

From Cubicles to Countertops

The Park, formerly Connell Corporate Park, spans 185 acres and is in the middle of a $500 million redevelopment. It already has over 1.5 million square feet of “work resort” offices.

The towers add housing to a campus built around offices. District Drive, the campus’s new main street, will include 160,000 square feet of dining, entertainment, wellness and lifestyle concepts.

RT600’s residents won’t arrive until Fall 2027. RT500’s residents get a cafe much sooner: Cafe Exchange, connected to their lobby, celebrates its grand opening on November 15.

Just a quick one..
