The Daily Dig
Resilience and Eli Lilly are expanding their manufacturing partnership with a $750 million investment to increase U.S. production of Lilly's KwikPen injectable device. The device is used to deliver diabetes and obesity medicines. The expansion builds on a partnership the two companies first established in 2023 and has expanded Resilience's existing manufacturing operations in the Cincinnati region.
Site preparation is underway, with full operations targeted for early 2027.
The investment is expected to bring total Resilience-created jobs in Ohio to more than 1,400 across its facilities, with at least 400 tied directly to this expansion. Resilience currently runs two advanced facilities in the Cincinnati region totaling nearly 1 million square feet, employing close to 1,000 people across manufacturing, operations, quality, and regulatory roles.
The expansion follows Resilience's recent move of its global headquarters from California to Blue Ash, Ohio. It also deepens a partnership that has already produced more than 150 million doses of Lilly medicines for U.S. patients in vial and pre-filled syringe formats.

TheJobWalk Thoughts
Full operations are targeted for early 2027, but the release doesn't detail how much construction remains. The $750 million investment has already "expanded" Resilience's operations, so some of the work may be underway rather than starting from scratch.
The headquarters move to Blue Ash and this expansion together point to real staying power in Ohio, not a one-off announcement. That's a company worth tracking for future opportunities in the state.
JobsOhio, REDI Cincinnati, and Ohio Life Sciences are named as partners building a manufacturing talent pipeline in Ohio. That pipeline targets production careers, not construction trades, so it says nothing about labor availability for the build itself.
