Ridgeline Roofing & Restoration, a portfolio company of private equity firm Bertram Capital, has acquired Advantage Roofing & Exteriors of Kalamazoo, Michigan. The deal, announced Sept. 23, 2026, is Ridgeline's eighth acquisition.
Terms weren't disclosed, so nobody's saying what the shingles went for.
28 Years on the Ladder
Tim Brown founded Advantage in 1998 and built it into one of Kalamazoo's most recognized names in exterior services. Per the release, that reputation shows in its customer ratings across hundreds of reviews.
The company serves homeowners and businesses across Southwest Michigan with:
Roofing installation and repair
Siding and gutters
Decks
Storm damage restoration

Brown called building Advantage "a heck of a 28-year ride." He said Ridgeline brings "more tools in the toolbox," meaning a bigger team and more support, while the company keeps doing things "the same way we always have."
Ridgeline CEO Chris Baldus praised Advantage's loyal customer base and a team that has "stuck around for years." He also said Brown built "something built to last," which is a pretty good thing to hear about a roofer.
