North Texas land developer Veritas Communities broke ground Oct. 8 on Liberty Hills, an 866-acre master-planned community in Anna, Texas. The project calls for more than 1,800 homes, with sales expected to start in early 2027.
The site sits west of U.S. Highway 75 in Collin County, and City of Anna officials joined Veritas for the groundbreaking.
Six Builders, Two Neighborhoods
Construction is underway in two neighborhoods that together account for 1,442 homes:
The Preserve: 991 single-family homes from William Ryan Homes, David Weekley Homes and Sandlin Homes. Sales are expected in early 2027.
The Greens: 451 single-family homes from Grand Homes, Perry Homes and Shaddock Homes. Sales are expected in late 2027.
Product: Homes will range from about 1,800 to 4,000 square feet, with expected pricing from the $400,000s to $1 million.
Paving the Way
Veritas is investing $50 million in infrastructure and amenities. Current projects include about 2.5 miles of roadway improvements, among them Mantua Parkway, which is expected to be finished by the middle of 2027.
Room to Roam
Amenities, open space and preserved native areas will cover 217 acres, roughly a quarter of the site. The Preserve’s lineup includes a resort-style pool, a fishing pier and a putting green.
Select homesites will border the golf course at the private Hurricane Creek Country Club, where residents can buy memberships.
Retail on Deck
Sprouts Farmers Market will anchor a retail area with an additional 30,000 square feet of leasable space. Per the City of Anna, construction is expected to start in December 2026.
In The Preserve, trails and pocket parks are expected to begin opening in summer 2027, with the amenity center following in early 2028. So the walking paths should open months before the party room does.
