Turner Construction and the Turner Foundation are putting $5 million over five years into mental health support across their 1,000+ job sites. This push comes as the construction industry, which employs over eight million people in the U.S, works to create safer, more welcoming environments.

As part of the company’s biggest Safety Week ever, Turner is holding talks on every project site to help workers feel comfortable speaking up about emotional well-being. The goal is to make mental health just as important as physical safety.

Turner is also growing its mental health programs to make sure its 13,000 employees-and the 110,000 people on their sites every day, know where to get help. They’re working to remove the stigma around mental health and build a culture of care and connection.

Making Building Designs Easier with Trimble

Trimble has launched the 2025 versions of its Tekla Structural Designer and Tekla Tedds software. These updates help architects and engineers work together better by sharing designs across different software programs.

Now, models made in Trimble SketchUp can be used directly in Tekla Structural Designer. This helps reduce mistakes because everyone sees the same design. Also, the link between Tekla and Autodesk Revit is better, making it easier to move models between the two programs.

The new version also makes designing steel buildings simpler. Engineers can now share fire safety data and other important details more easily. The software also works better with IDEA StatiCa, which helps with designing strong connections in buildings.
