Amazon goes BIG with $20 Billion Investment

Amazon plans to invest $20 billion to build two new data-centre “AI innovation campuses” in Pennsylvania- in Salem Township and Falls Township near Philadelphia, aiming to expand its cloud computing and artificial intelligence capabilities
This investment will create at least 1,250 high-skilled tech jobs within AWS and support thousands of additional construction and supply-chain roles. Since 2010, Amazon has already invested over $26 billion in Pennsylvania, accounting for 27,000 direct jobs and 37,100 indirect.
One campus will tap 1,920 MW of carbon-free nuclear power from the Susquehanna plant under a long-term deal through 2042, helping AWS meet its growing AI energy needs
This is the largest private-sector investment in Pennsylvania’s history. It supports economic growth, energy innovation, and AI infrastructure, and shows how tech giants are building new future-first infrastructure across the U.S.

TECH SPOTLIGHT
Nvidia CEO Says Robots Will Lead This Decade

Unsplash
Nvidia’s CEO Jensen Huang recently said that “this is going to be the decade of AV [autonomous vehicles], robotics, autonomous machines.”
Nvidia’s car tech division earned $329 million last quarter. That’s 11% more than the same time last year. The company is working hard on tools to power the future of driving and robotics.
One new product is Nvidia Drive, a full system that helps car makers build self-driving vehicles. Another is Cosmos Predict-2, a smart AI trained on 20,000 hours of driving. It helps cars see and drive better in bad weather like fog or rain.
This technology will also change how buildings and roads are made. Robots powered by AI could handle jobs like digging, moving heavy items, or checking safety on job sites. Self-driving machines may soon work on construction sites to make work faster, safer, and cheaper.
