WHAT OUR PREMIUM SUBSCRIBERS HAVE BEEN READING THIS WEEK:

IL Monte Galala Towers and Marina, Egypt

Tatweer Misr
Egypt is preparing a $1B mixed-use coastal project, Monte Galala Towers and Marina, to expand tourism infrastructure along the Gulf of Suez.
Covering 470,000 square metres near Ain Sokhna, the development will include 10 towers with marina, hotel, and residential components. Backed by a partnership between the Housing Ministry, the Armed Forces’ Engineering Authority, and Tatweer Misr, the project has cabinet approval.
Construction is slated for late 2026 and will take about seven years, forming part of Egypt’s long-term strategy to grow tourism capacity and attract sustained coastal investment.

Bedrock Robotics Secures Funding
Bedrock Robotics has raised $270M in Series B funding to accelerate the deployment of autonomous technology for heavy construction equipment.
The round, co-led by CapitalG and the Valor Atreides AI Fund, values the San Francisco–based company at about $1.75B and brings total funding above $350M.
Bedrock retrofits existing machines with AI systems using lidar, GPS, and motion sensors to automate operator tasks. The new capital will fund platform scaling and broader fleet rollouts, targeting productivity gains and labor shortages across modern construction operations.
