Verdantas, a technical consulting firm focused on environmental, water, and energy transition work, announced Oct. 8 that it has acquired Civilitude Engineers & Planners, a civil engineering and planning firm based in Austin, Texas.
The deal expands Verdantas’ presence in what the release calls the rapidly growing Central Texas market.
Founded in 2010, Civilitude serves public agencies, nonprofits, architects, and development projects. Services include:
Water and wastewater infrastructure
Utility coordination and permitting
Land and site development
Roadway design and construction administration
Paper Before Pavement
Civilitude built its reputation helping clients navigate complex land development, infrastructure, permitting, and entitlement challenges. Entitlements are the part of the job where nobody gets to swing a hammer yet.
According to the release, the firm’s deep understanding of Texas’ regulatory environment and its long-standing public and private sector relationships have made it a trusted partner.
Start to Finish
Verdantas, which has over 2,800 professionals nationwide, says the combined team can better support projects from early planning through civil design, permitting, and delivery.
The company says that’s especially valuable on complex developments where land planning, flood mitigation, water infrastructure, and environmental considerations must be addressed together.
