Venture Global has awarded Worley a reimbursable engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract for its CP2 Expansion project, according to a Nov. 4 announcement. The deal gives Worley EPC work on three separate pieces of CP2.

One Contractor, Three Tickets

CP2 is a major LNG export facility in Cameron Parish, Louisiana. Worley’s EPC work there now covers:

  • Phase 1

  • Phase 2

  • The newly awarded Expansion

That puts one contractor on every piece of CP2 named in the announcement. Worley takes on the Expansion while it’s already handling EPC on the first two phases.

A Bigger Seat at the Table: Worley has been supporting the Expansion’s early engineering under a Master Services Agreement. The new deal adds a full EPC contract to that relationship.

Contract First, Checkbook Later: The contract comes before the investment decision, not after it. Venture Global is targeting a Final Investment Decision in early 2027, so the contractor is in place while the investment call is still pending. The announcement doesn’t put a dollar value on the contract.

Who’s Holding the Pen: Worley’s Houston, Baton Rouge and Reading offices are leading the work. The company’s Global Integrated Delivery (GID) team is backing them up.

Corner Office Comment: Worley CEO Chris Ashton called CP2 “one of the most strategically important LNG projects globally.” He said Worley has identified LNG as “a priority growth market,” one where the company says it holds “an established leadership position.”

Next Signature to Watch: The ink on Worley’s contract is dry. The signature still outstanding is Venture Global’s investment decision.

Just a quick one..
