WSB, a design and consulting firm in the portfolio of private equity firm GHK Capital Partners, announced Sept. 23 that it has acquired Poly, Inc., an architecture and engineering firm headquartered in Dothan, Alabama.
WSB says the deal strengthens its municipal, environmental, and federal design platform, along with its presence in the Southeast and along the Gulf Coast.

Founded in 1959 and employee-owned, Poly brings three offices and a client base centered on public and government work:
Offices in Dothan and Birmingham, Alabama, plus Shalimar, Florida
Architecture plus civil and environmental engineering
Geological and hydrogeological services
Federal and military facility design, including more than 130 military training ranges designed nationally and overseas
Deal No. 10:
Poly marks WSB's tenth acquisition in three years. WSB says it operates from more than 50 offices with more than 1,800 employees nationwide.
WSB president and CEO Bret Weiss said Poly's expertise "complements our existing services" and strengthens WSB's ability to deliver integrated infrastructure and facility solutions.
Poly president Bruce Bradley said the deal gives Poly's clients access to broader resources and integrated expertise. He added that it creates new opportunities for staff growth, collaboration, and long-term career development.
Poly is known for delivering big-firm capabilities with small-firm responsiveness. With WSB's resources behind it, the big-firm half of that pitch stands to get more backing.
Some Assembly Required:
The firms plan to integrate their services and develop a coordinated go-to-market approach in 2026 and 2027, so the combined offering is still a work in progress.
With ten deals in three years, WSB's org chart could use its own set of as-builts.
